The TO:C team is delighted to present the imminent release of version 1.8 of TO:Crossfire, which will be available for free download as both a full install and an updater, for your gaming pleasure. We have worked hard to bring you great new features, new maps and a lot of important bug fixes, making this our best and most extensively tested patch yet. It has taken longer than we would have liked, but we are sure that you will be happy with the improvements and fixes we have made. We have done our best to make sure this patch lives up to and incorporates many of requests presented by the community. Many members of the team have made superhuman efforts to overhaul the game from top to bottom.
The 1.8 Server package will be available for download on Thursday, 29th November, in the afternon. [Released] http://www.to-crossfire.net/news/server-downloads.html
The 1.8 Client packages will be available for download on Thursday, 29th November, in the evening. We are also pretty sure you folks will like the two well known classic maps that we are adding with this patch! |

As we prepare for the imminent release of TOC 1.8 we are happy to present the Official TOC White List.
The White List is a step to make playing TO:Crossfire more fair for all players. The list will reduce confusion and discussions about what is allowed or not and how we in the TOC team look at things.
The full list can be found in our forum over there -> TOC White List

From '1.8 Internal' to '1.8 Beta' |

We did suffer from a slight problem with one of our internal servers which delayed us a couple of days from committing work but we are now back on track.
Last night we moved to Beta stage which means that we are doing the last tests of 1.8 before we begin packaging the update and full releases for client and server. The plan is to release the client as an update and full install package at the same time and hope to have a server package done before that so there are enough time to update the servers for the hosters before client is released.
The final change list have been posted and while we kept on testing we actually threw in some other sweet things not mentioned in the list - We hope you will like them to.
